UL Standards for Safety

Underwriters Laboratories, Inc.(UL) has developed more than 800 Standards for Safety. These Standards for Safety are essential to helping insure public safety and confidence, reduce costs, improve quality and market products and services. Millions of products and their components are tested to UL's rigorous safety standards with the result that consumers live in a safer environment than they would have otherwise.

UL programs help gain market access - especially in regions that limit the use of hazardous substances in electronic products. The UL Mark on our products can also mean greater market acceptance, signifying that they have been tested rigorously for safety.

After evaluation is completed, our UL Recognized Components are entered in UL's Online Certifications Directory, so customers can instantly identify the components and materials they need to complete their subassemblies or end products.
